I know, I know, its too early to think about Christmas, but please hear me out. I used to think that way myself until I started our Storybook Santa Experience. But that's just us. What about you, the clients who schedule your children in to visit with the man in red? Why should you have to think so far ahead? Mostly it is about getting your portraits for Christmas. Almost everything we do is custom created just for you and it starts after we are done photographing children on Saturdays. All the photographs are transferred from the camera cards to backup computer drives. Next comes the hard part. I have to cull each session down to 15 photographs. I've taken as many as 450 photographs per session because of all the moving parts that have to come together in an image. That can add up to 2,000 shots in one day! It all has to be done before Monday evening when I upload the final images to my editor who then has just a couple of days to have them back to me to show to you. That is the best part of the job! Watching parents get excited about their children's Christmas portraits is just magical. Thursdays and Fridays we show portraits and take orders then it starts all over again Saturday morning. We create most your wall portraits in house printing them on canvas. (Metal prints and our enhanced painted portraits are an exception to the rule and are sent out to our labs that specialize in that trade.) Our albums are custom designed and printed at a small custom album company that we have chosen. The frames for your wall portraits are ordered and custom built for your order. That is why we start our Storybook Santa Experience in November. Those who book our early sessions will most likely get everything before Christmas, but once Thanksgiving hits there are products that won't make that deadline. Finally, early booking guarantees the day and time you need. It never hurts to think ahead and that certainly includes thinking about Christmas.
