There I was waving my arm in the air, jumping up and down, and screaming like an excited teenager as the score from the last of five judges popped up on the screen. Five votes had all come in at unanimous scores of a perfect 100. I'd always taught that in the Intermountain Professional Photographer's Association print competition getting from a score of 80 to a score of 100 feels like another 100 points. I photographed this scene out on the desert near Hanksville, Utah last fall using a telephoto lens to create several images which I stitched together to create this beautiful composition. I dropped it into black and white to create the final art piece. perfect scores don't happen every day and not even to every photographer so this was an unbelievable blessing. The last year has been quite the ride. Between receiving my Images of Excellence award, and going onto the finals in the World Photographic Cup, I have had a lot of achievements come my way, many I thought would never happen to me. I have to thank all my photographic friends, (most who are members of the Intermountain Professional Photographer's Association) who have mentored me, encouraged me, and still cheer me on. It's been a great and exciting ride. I wouldn't trade it for anything! Thank you my eternal friends!
