In my last blog I mentioned a bit of my history with Santa Claus.  Our first year together we met early to take publicity photographs. I invited some of my grandchildren over to meet Santa and have their portraits made for our advertising. At the time we were doing short sessions similar to a mall, but with a somewhat classical look that we quite liked and in some ways still like today, probably because of the classical look. But to this day I cherish these photographs because they are insightful portraits of my grandchildren when the were much younger. These kids have grown up knowing Santa Claus. A couple of them have even been featured on television with him. Last year we did a special custom session on Christmas day for a family from Houston whose father had been deployed to the Middle East. Santa was kind enough to hang around for a while and let my grandchildren spend some time with him. These sorts of experiences have been a blessing and we will ever be grateful to the man in red.
