Last week the temperatures soared to 70 degrees! Out to the desert I went. It had been a while since I spent time with my beloved wild horses and I was anxious to see if I could find them. It took a while, but we found a herd and I began to follow them for the next hour. At one point I found myself in the middle of the herd as they stopped to graze or possibly just rest before moving on. While I was photographing amid the horses I turned to see four pronghorns staring at me and the mustangs. I shifted my interest and started to photograph the animals, slowly making my way in their direction. Call it a "side Hustle", if will. but sometimes you are presented with something more than what you are planning to see. This was one of those times and a grabbed some shots. They were fairly tolerant of me which is unusual, but eventual walked away. When I finally packed things up and headed for home I was presented with another "side hustle" when I spotted a snow covered mountain lit up by the sun in a most interesting way. I stopped and pulled the camera out one more time to make the capture. You never know when something else is going to present itself. Be aware, be ready, and shoot away. Have fun with every side hustle, I might just be your award winning shot for the year!
