When you plan a trip to a foreign country with thousands of years of ancient history you tend to see the country with some built in expectations. In my case I thought Italy would come with less technology and a more simpler lifestyle. Some of that might be true, especially with the older generations, but with the newer generations I found them to have the same problem we have in America; cellphones. Not that I think cell phones are all evil, only that I think they are creating a social problem for the newer generation. I recently saw a post on Facebook with picture of a family of four sitting at the dining room table, all staring down at their cell phones. It said something to the affect, "Cell phones are great for maintaining relationships with people far away, but not so great at maintaining relationships with people close to you." They let things far away distract us from the things right in front of us. But I'm not here to debate the pros and cons of cellphones. I just wanted to share some photographic evidence that Italy has the same problem we do.
