The stars have always been a fascination with me. Until digital photography came along I really had no way to photograph them. I'm still not well versed in the process of capturing nice photographs of the stars, but it's nice to play around with it everyone once in a while. The opportunity provided itself while I was down in southern Utah creating landscape photographs last week. It had been raining most of the day, but began to break up in the late afternoon for sunset and then cleared completely after dark. We were camping in a pretty dark location so I pulled out the camera gear and went to work, creating this image of the bluff next to our campsite under the stars. It won't win any awards, but it brings back the memory of the evening under the stars and that fascinates me!
