Santa Portraits
Wow times have changed! Here is a photograph of my sister and me in the mid-nineteen fifties. I’d like to think we were with Santa, but that fake beard isn’t good enough to fool anyone much older than we were at the time. I don’t know who took the photograph, but the camera should have been horizontal instead of vertical so it wouldn’t feel like Santa is falling out of the picture. I don’t know who is in the second photograph; I found it in our collection of old family photographs, but I have to laugh at Santa. Not only is his beard a fake, you can’t even see his face. Well at least the little girl is smiling!
Better than Mall Santa Photos
In many of the Santa pictures taken at the mall the children are screaming bloody murder. It happens a lot because it’s not unusual for small tikes to be initially scared of that big guy with the beard. The second problem is there is no time to wait for the child to calm down. After all there is a long line of kids waiting for their turn. While a picture of your crying child is an interesting memory to be laughed at when the story is told, it’s not usually an image you want to hang on the wall. Those pictures are usually relegated to the back of a picture album or tossed in a drawer at some point. Fortunately digital photography has led to a totally different experience. We are able to design custom sessions where children can spend time and interact with the big guy. Buy creating an experience your child is actually able to get to know Santa. Having close to an hour with Santa gives the crew plenty of time to work with shy or crying babies. That amount of time also helps us impart a memorable experience, one our kids will not soon forget. Then there is the Christmas magic that takes place when we change your pictures into works of art that resemble paintings complete with Santa’s magic and expressions you might not have even seen during your children’s time with the man in red. Yes, there is a big difference between the old 1950’s Santa pictures and the 2021 Santa art portraits of today. We are so proud of our timeless Santa artwork that we give our guarantee to every parent that they will love their children’s experience, adore the artwork that results and be excited to display their portraits for many years, and maybe, just maybe, all year around!
