Normally our Storybook Santa Experience session take place every Saturday in November and the first two Saturdays in December, but we've been known to hold special sessions for clients. We held one of those special sessions on Christmas day 2020! A grandmother called me one day early in the season. She had seen one of our ads and made an inquiry. Her daughter and grandchildren were coming to Utah for the holidays and she wanted to book a session for them. Unfortunately they were not coming until the 21st of December, well after we shutdown to complete the post production and get orders out. To ad to that, Santa gets really busy during that time of the year. I informed her that holding a session during that time would be impossible. But after thinking about it for a moment I asked her if she would be interested in a session on Christmas Day? I told this gal that it would be a larger investment, but that most of that would come back to her in print credit when she ordered her portraits. It all hinged on Santa and his availability, after all Santa is a might tired after delivering presents all night! Fortunately he was in town with nothing on the schedule and was most happy to accommodate us. As for me, well my wife and I are pretty much empty nesters. My Birthday is on Christmas Eve. We hold a big party, smoking a huge prime rib, and reading our traditional "Cajun Night Before Christmas". All my kids and grand kids come over for that event so not much happens here on Christmas day. Why not have a Christmas session for a family  whose father had recently been deployed to the middle east. Everything was set in stone and we hosted a Christmas day Storybook Santa Session. The event was pure fun and we'd do it again in a heartbeat. To add to the fun Santa hung around to talk to a few of my grandchildren who popped in to spend a bit of time with the man in red. The spirit of Christmas is giving and that's what we did for a great family. Christmas day 2020 was the best Christmas ever!
